Original 1970s Lamb Leather & Mongolian Lamb Coat
A truly exceptional original 1970s statement coat, crafted from beautifully supple, butter-soft black lamb leather and lavishly trimmed in ivory Mongolian lamb.
The wonderfully oversized Mongolian lamb trim runs dramatically from the collar through the full length of the front, with coordinating deep cuffs, creating that unmistakable decadent 1970s silhouette. Despite its substantial appearance, the coat is surprisingly lightweight, with a softly insulated interior providing warmth without heaviness.
The black lamb leather remains beautifully soft and supple, testament to how carefully this piece has been owned and preserved. There is no visible maker’s mark, however the quality of the materials and construction is exceptional.
Cut with a relaxed, slightly oversized shape, it is shown here on a UK size 8 mannequin. Best suited to approximately a UK 8–10 for an oversized fit, or up to a UK 12 for a closer silhouette.
